Geary County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an injury accident on U.S. 77 Highway near mile marker 164 at 6:48 a.m. Saturday. According to t the Sheriff's Department Amy Landry, Junction City, was traveling southbound in a Ford Fiesta when a deer was struck in the roadway. The vehicle was disabled in the roadway and airbags were deployed.
Landry was taken by ambulance to Geary Community Hospital for evaluation. The vehicle was removed by a wrecker service.
