Junction City Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for construction of a concessions building at Rathert Field to DM Construction and Remodeling when they meet Tuesday evening at 701 North Jefferson. The bid totals $117,370.01.
According to Junction City Brigade General Manager Cecil Aska the plans call for the building to be located in the right field beer garden adjacent to a storage shed in that area. The building must match the material look and structure and attach to the existing shed. The project must be completed by May 15th.
In the beer garden Aska noted that the upper seating level will remain but there will also be seating on the lower level. The bar used in the past will be torn down in favor of the concessions building. The beer garden name will continue for that area along the right field side of the stadium.
The Junction City Commission meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
