Geary County Commissioners could not make a final decision on a proposed conditional use for an RV Park on a 50 acre area north of Junction City near the K-57 - U.S. 77 junction. The proposal included an RV Park, boat and RV storage.
The Metropolitan Planning Commission earlier recommended denial on the request, but after receiving more information from the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, the GIC / Planning and Zoning Director, Troy Livingston, recommended that the matter be sent back to the MPC.
Commissioner Alex Tyson wanted the matter be returned to the MPC but Commissioner Trish Giordano wanted the governing body to make a decision on Monday. So, the matter has been tabled until Commissioner Keith Ascher is in attendance. He was not present for the meeting on Monday.
