From the weekly Geary County Commission meeting:
--There will be a retirement gathering in Junction City for Pawnee Mental CEO Robbin Cole on April 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. It will be held at the Pawnee office in Junction City. Cole has spent a total of 28 years with Pawnee Mental Health, spread over two different stints. She plans to retire May 1, 2024.
--ATA Bus has donated an older bus to the Food Pantry of Geary County. It will be used to help the Food Pantry set up in areas where people can walk to get food.
--Commissioners and Department heads met with area state legislators to discuss topics ahead of the 2024 session of the Kansas Legislature. The session always begins in January.
