USD 475 Communications Coordinator
JUNCTION CITY, Kan. - The Geary County USD 475 Board of Education recently approved the hiring of Brittany Scott as assistant principal at the Early Childhood Center for the 2026-27 school year.Scott will take over as assistant principal at the ECC after spending the current school year as an instructional coach under the leadership of Early Childhood Center principal, Bryan Scruggs.
Scott not only worked at Junction City High School as an early childhood teacher during the 2024-25 school year but also spent a majority of her tenure at Ware Elementary where she was a first-grade teacher from 2012 through 2024.She has received numerous honors and accolades during her time in USD 475, including being named the district’s Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2023.
Scott also plays a key role across the state as she is a member of the Kansas Association of American Educators as well as the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network.
