RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged assault on officers.
Just before midnight Friday, officers filed a report for aggravated assault of law enforcement in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
Three officers reported a 32-year-old man pulled out a sharp object and threatened them while they were investigating a verbal argument between the man and a woman.
Police arrested 32-year-old Exzavien Hunter of Manhattan at the scene on requested charges of aggravated assault of LEO and transported to the Pottawatomie County Jail. He is no longer in custody, according to online jail records.
