RCPD: Suspect in stolen SUV captured during rural burglary

RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a  burglary and have a suspect in custody.

Just before 11:30a.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report for burglary; possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; possession of stolen property; and criminal damage to property in the 19,400 block of Peach Grove Road north of Randolph, according to the Riley County Police department activity report.

Officers responded to the scene after a report of a burglary in progress and located and arrested Brock Odell, 31, of Clay Center.

Odell who was also in possession of a stolen GMC Acadia out of Clay Center and drugs.

A 58-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man and 60-year-old man are the victims, according to the RCPD.  They were not on scene when the burglary occurred. 

Odell is being held without bond on requested charges of Burglary; Non-dwelling to commit felony, theft or sexually motivated crime(2x) and Possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant.
