Junction City, KS – Junction City, KS – United Way of Junction City–Geary County is excited to invite community members to join its annual Day of Caring on November 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers are still needed to help make this special day of service a success!
“This event is one of our favorite traditions each year,” says Nichole Mader, Executive Director. “We’ve already received many requests from households needing a hand with fall yard cleanup—pulling weeds, removing yard waste, and raking leaves. Our volunteers make a real difference for elderly and disabled residents, and for many, it’s a day of connection and kindness that they truly look forward to.”
Each year, volunteers assist with 10–15 homes, creating an impact that goes far beyond tidying a yard—it’s about reminding our neighbors that they are valued and cared for.
