JCHS Students Named Governor’s Scholars

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. - The Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced that Junction City High School seniors Ashley Caligiuri, Luke Nelson, Kayleigh Roberts and Kai Walsh were selected as 2026 Kansas Governor’s Scholars. 

By being named a Kansas Governor’s Scholar, Caligiuri, Nelson, Roberts and Walsh are considered among the top one percent academically of all Kansas high school seniors. In total, 527 Kansas high school students were selected to attend the 43rd Annual Governor’s Scholars Awards Program on Sunday in Topeka. To be named a scholar, students are selected from accredited public and private schools in the state based on their academic achievements over the course of their high school years.
