Geary County Emergency Management has provided information from the National Weather Service.
Rain will start around 2pm Friday (50-60% chance) There could be some slick areas especially on overpasses and bridges with the moisture.A band of snow (possibly briefly mixed with rain) will move west to east across the area this evening. Many places will only see a light coating, mainly just on grassy surfaces. However some locally heavier totals of around 1" are possible within the core of the snow band, enough to lead to a few slick/slushy spots on roads.
So if traveling Friday night, maintain awareness of weather and road conditions across your route. Please stay winter weather aware.
