MONTGOMERY COUNTY—A man from Junction City avoided injury in an accident just after 9a.m. Thursday in Montgomery County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Winston D. Griffin, 32, Junction City was westbound on U.S. 400 two miles west of the U.S. 169 Junction.

The pickup was following a 2019 Honda Ridgeline driven by Gaby Reck, 51, Coffeyville.&nbsp; The driver of the Honda signaled for a right turn and the Chevy attempted to pass on the left.&nbsp; The Honda made a left hand turn instead and collided with the Chevy.

EMS transported Reck to the hospital in Independence. Griffin was not injured.&nbsp; Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
