In the weekly City 515 report Junction City Finance Director Lindsay Miller noted that last week the city received sales tax revenues for the month of February. The total amount received was $1,240,159.21. The ranking for this increment was 8th best on record. This means that City sales tax for the month were the 2nd best on record.
County Sales tax were also 2nd best for the month. Then there was use tax which was the 3rd best on record for this tax type and the best for the month of February. The increment from February 2024 was less than the amount for February 2023, so we saw a decrease of 2.62% from last February. Budget wise, things are looking good and officials are hopeful this will hold.
