The early morning thunderstorm that hit Junction City brought 2.55 inches of rain in about 40 minutes. Emergency Management confirmed that the cell hovered over the Junction City area before moving on.
There was some minor flooding of roadways in the area. Emergency Management is checking on impact in the county. More rain could fall today and tonight.

Thunderstorms chances will increase this afternoon into Tonight. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible possible. The primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall. A Flood Watch is in effect for areas along and south of I-70 this afternoon through Friday morning.
