RCPD: Manhattan man interfered with police during felony arrest

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after an arrest.

Just before 4p.m. Tuesday, officers filed a report for interference with law enforcement including obstruct/resist/oppose felony warrant execution in the 600 block of Fort Riley Blvd in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

A 22-year-old suspect identified as Yabdiel Rodriguez of Manhattan interfered with law enforcement during the service of a felony arrest warrant. 

Police arrested Rodriguez on requested charges of interference with law enforcement. Rodriguez was also arrested in relation to an incident which was reported on August 10, 2025 for two counts of interference with law enforcement and possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant. Additionally, Rodriguez was arrested on a Riley County District Court Warrant for aggravated assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits and disorderly conduct. This warrant stems from a report filed on April 5, 2025. Rodriguez is being held on a $27,000 bond.
