The Geary County Sheriff's Department and Junction City Fire Department have teamed up to form a new dive team.
During a recent town hall meeting Sheriff Daniel Jackson explained that it will include paramedics, EMT's and deputies. This is a certified dive team that could respond to calls and emergencies at Milford Lake but at other locations across Kansas and a multistate area.
The team has been training in recent weeks to obtain the necessary certification.
