The Geary County Metropolitan Planning Commission has denied a request for a rezoning for a proposed new group home at 20th Street Circle on the north side of Junction City.
Zoning Administrator Troy Livingston said the rezoning would have been from planned development district to multi-family residential. "And then, had that actually gone forward he would have have gotten a conditional use permit on top of that."
The MPC recommended denial to the county commission, and the applicant, Carl Taylor, has now withdrawn the proposal. Fader said Taylor will try to find a different location.
