There will be an effort to spruce up Grant Ave on the north side of Junction City.
Phyllis Fitzgerald is coordinating a volunteer cleanup on Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the boat dock / parking area near the Republican River on the north side of Junction City. The goal is to clean up the north half of Grant Ave.
The decision to develop a cleanup effort followed the announcement by Maj. Gen. Monte Rone that the Trooper Drive access control point will remain closed indefinitely. Traffic will be routed via Grant Ave. 24 hours, seven days a week.
