The C.L. Hoover Opera House will be the site for holiday entertainment in December. A Hometown Holiday kicks off the activities on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6-9 p.m. This event will encompass the downtown area including the Opera House.
There will be free carriage rides, a hot cocoa bar, carolers, a visit by Santa Claus, a performance by the ASTRA program youth from Junction City Middle School. Multiple groups and businesses in the downtown area are joining together for this third annual Hometown Holiday celebration. You can get a map of participating locations at the Opera House.
The next night, Dec. 7, the Opera House will be the location for the show, "Six Appeal Ugly Sweater Party." The Six Appeal Vocal Band provides a high-octane performance . There will be a cappella arrangements of both traditional and holiday music in their concert.
The 1st Infantry Division Band Holiday Concert will be performed three times including Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. The concert is offered as a free gift to the public.
