
Junction City police have reported the arrest of a bank robbery suspect on I-70 Thursday afternoon. According to Police Investigations Captain, Trish Giordano, at about 2:43 p.m. Officer Nick Blake saw a grey Acura during at an excessive speed on the interstate. After conducting a traffic stop, contact was made with Nathaniel Painter, 45, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Police said Painter was wanted on charges of Bank Robbery in Paragould, Arkansas. The robbery allegedly occurred on Tuesday of this week. Painter was still in possession of most of the money that was taken. He is currently being held without bond at the Geary County Detention Center for the City of Paragould.
