Teacher turned comedian Lucas Bohn will be featured at the C.L. Hoover Opera House on Jan. 11. His comedy features a blend of schoolboy charm and bad-boy charisma.
Bohn, who is from Restin, Virginia, served as a public school teacher there for six years and then in 2010 became a full time comedian. "The show is about me leaving the teaching profession and becoming a full time nationally touring comedian."
Known as the little guy who generates big laughs, Bohn has shared the stage with Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Hart. Bohn stated, "I tell a story through pictures and images and student work and things like that. The whole show is a story, it's autobiographical. I literally talk about how I was a teacher, and how I got my sense of humor and how I started touring. I tell this story through photos and stand-up as well."
Bohn will perform at the Opera House on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.
