Barbara Jo Colvin, 76, of Westmoreland, died Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. She moved to Westmoreland in 2008 to be closer to family after her retirement.
Barbara was born April 19, 1943, in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Thomas Holly and Lacy Kay Vanscoder Crenshaw. She attended local schools and graduated from Bakersfield High School.
Barbara worked for many years as a secretary for various parts of the legal profession. She worked for the district attorney's office and for private attorneys.
Barbara married Sherman Edward Riffenburg. He preceded her in death in 1973. She also married Richard Lucero and they were later divorced. She then married Bob Colvin and they were later divorced.
Barbara loved to sew and in later years enjoyed watching Gun Smoke reruns.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Diana Michael (Kimmy, Haysville and her son, Thomas Riffenburg, Westmoreland; her grandson, Michael Ray Frazier, Jr. (Trish, Westmoreland; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Johnson, Manhattan, and step great-grandson, Michael Weddle, Jr., Westmoreland. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
A private family inurnment will be held at Westmoreland City Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to The Good Shepherd Hospice in Manhattan and those may be sent in care of Campanella-Evans Mortuary.
