MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Junction City Blue Jays fell in their Regional matchup against Topeka High 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Jays took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but were unable to muster much more in the contest. The Trojans came from behind, taking a 4-2 lead heading into the 7th inning, where JCHS would add a run, but be unable to tie the game.
The loss marked the eighth-straight loss for the Blue Jay baseball team, closing their season at 9-12 overall.
Topeka High advances to take on the winner of Manhattan and Hutchinson at 6 p.m. Tuesday night from the Eisehower Sports Complex in Manhattan. The winner of the regional bracket will earn a trip to the Kansas 6A State tournament.
