David B. Wells, age 75, died on Sunday January 12, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, Kansas.
He was born on September 16, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Blaine & Pauline (Bolejack) Wells. David was an electrical lineman and business owner for many years in Russell, Ks, and worked for the City of Russell until his retirement in 2007.
David was united in marriage to Judy Chapin on September 4, 1965 in Washington, KS.
In describing David, only these things really need to be said: Family, Friends, and K-State. He enjoyed spending time with his family, creating games for his grandkids, and playing golf with his friends. His love for all K-State Sports was evident in being a season ticket holder for 25 years and tailgating with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife: Judy of 54 years; 3 sons: Tim Wells (Kim) of Longmont, CO, Tom Wells (Stacy) of Elburn, IL and Todd Wells (Kuebler Perry) of Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren (Jared, David, Danny, Mia, and Joey); a brother: Don Wells (Karen) of Wichita, KS; 3 sisters: Laura Soash (Richard) of Manhattan, KS, Sue Brun (Jeff) of Meriden, KS and Elizabeth Wagoner (Ron) of Derby, KS.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 17, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church, Manhattan, Kansas. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Kansas.
