Geary USD 475 officials have been monitoring attendance with a goal of reducing chronic student absenteeism in the district's schools.
The goal was to reduce the rate from 12.6% down to nine percent for the first semester of the school year. The Board of Education was informed this week that the goal had been met, and the rate had been reduced to 8.6%. Efforts will continue.
