Junction City Police Department Public Information Officer, Captain Trish Giordano and members of the JCPD have announced that Kirt D. Nichols has been promoted to Operations Captain. He will be responsible to the Patrol Division and Community Involvement Unit.
Nichols began his career in 1990 and had served as a Patrol Sergeant and Lieutenant as well as the Training and Hiring Lieutenant. Nichols served as Interim Chief from Sept. of 2019 until Chief John Lamb began work in January.
