Kenneth Johan Nordberg, 53, of Wamego, Kansas, died Friday, February 14, 2020, at his home. 

He had been member of the community for the last fifteen years.&nbsp; Prior to moving to Kansas he lived in New York.&nbsp; Kenny was born on November 17, 1966, in Bronx, New York, the son of Finnish immigrants, Hassel and Maj-Britt (Skogberg) Nordberg. He attended local schools in northern New Jersey.

Kenny was a carpenter and worked with his father installing computer flooring for his dad’s company and for the NY Union.&nbsp; He then moved to Kansas and worked as a Union Carpenter for different companies.&nbsp; Kenny loved working in the outdoors and always found something to do outside. He was a loyal New York Giants and New Jersey Devil’s fan.

Kenny is survived by his son, Sean Nordberg, Wamego; his sisters, Maria Stivers (Kevin, Ryland Heights, Kentucky and Eva Nordberg-Levy (Sam, Alpharetta, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Courtney, Shea, Annika, Maria, Marcus and Erik; grandnephew, A.J., and former wife, Kelley Nordberg.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego.&nbsp; The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, and those may be sent in care of the mortuary.
