Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce volunteers are enjoying success in a membership drive this week. According to the Director of Member Relations, Amy Garner, about 85 new members or upgraded memberships have been added this week, and the drive continues through Thursday at the C.L. Hoover Opera House.
Garner said they're working with a company called Your Chamber Connection "They put together the event for us, we get all the volunteers and they train our volunteers on what a Chamber is, how it works, how it's supposed to work in the community and then the volunteers get on the phone and they call the people that they do business with and ask them to either join the Chamber or to upgrade their membership."
Before the drive began the Chamber had approximately 340 members.
