On Saturday the Junction City Middle School 7th grade boys basketball team had their year end tournament at Anthony Middle School in Manhattan.
In the first game, they lost to Washburn Rural 40-33. That put the team in the 3rd place game where they defeated Shawnee Heights 54-46. According to Coach Basil Nevill the squad finished 3rd overall in the tournament and closed out the season with an 11-3 record.
