Geary County Rural firefighters rolled on fire calls Sunday. One was a mutual aid response to a blaze approximately two to three miles north of Dwight in Morris County. Garry Berges , Rural Fire Chief, said fire departments from Morris County, Dwight and White City sought the assistance on a large grass fire. "We responded to assist them. We were on scene for about two, two-and-a-half hours. We got that fire contained.
Later, about 8 p.m. firefighters responded to Milford State Park for a camper fire with a possible explosion. "Camper was unoccupied at the time. It was completely burned along with a boat in front of it. Also sustaining damage was a Ford pickup truck." The investigation on that fire continued.
