Governor Kelly announced on Friday that Blue Cross Blue Shield will waive cost sharing for treatment of COVID-19 for the next 60 days. "This includes coverage for testing and treatment administered at a doctor's office, an urgent care facility, emergency room, as well as in-patient hospital stays."
Kelly said the announcement applies to fully insured members and those receiving insurance through medicare advantage plans. "Blue Cross will also work with self-funded customers who want to implement a similar approach."
Kelly delivered the information during a press conference at the Statehouse.
