Everything from stay at home orders to regular washing of your hands are part of the guidelines for dealing with COVID-19.
Junction City Mayor Jeff Underhill addressed that topic. "What we really need is people to do their part. Stay home when directed to stay home, don't take the entire family out to the grocery store. Just travel one at a time if at all possible. "
Underhill also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce. The potential impact of COVID-19 on businesses is also on his mind. "That is a huge concern of mine. " He noted the Chamber of Commerce is spreading as much information as possible and as quickly as possible as information about grants becomes available. "Looks like the ( federal ) CARES Act is getting put into motion that will allow for some forgivable loans to be out there to make payroll and pay utilities for some of these small businesses."
