Despite COVID-19 construction work is progressing on the new high school in Junction City.

USD 475 Chief Operations Officer David Wild explains proper social distancing requirements are being met. "That's a 350,000 square foot facility. Right now the employees are spaced at about one employee for every 20 feet. So they are managing by space. They brought in some material handling equipment."

Wild updated the Board of Education on the project this week.

The goal is to have the project completed and the school ready to open by August of 2021.
