There have not been any confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Geary County in recent days. Health Officer Tammy Von Busch said she goes out to stores or the post office she sees a lot of people wearing masks. "I'm encouraged that people are really taking it seriously and are doing everything that they can to protect themselves and protect the community."

Three of the nine positive cases are in isolation and the remainder of the patients have recovered.

The Governor's stay at home order runs until May 3rd, but what might happen after that is unknown Von Busch doesn't know yet what to expect in Geary County after that date. "I think the big thing that we need to pay attention to is looking at what President Trump expects is that we're not continuing to see an increase in cases. Right now on a daily basis we're still seeing the number of cases going up each day, and the number of deaths going up as well."
