Junction City Commissioners have approved an ordinance authorizing a change from Commercial General to Special Commercial District for a planned new Dollar General store. It would be located on a site in the northwest sector of the city, said Zoning Administrator Troy Livingston. "Criteria that they have to meet, everything's there. Water, sewer and electric is there. They would probably front off of Patriot Drive, not on Rucker Road. "
Livingston said there is plenty of space for the store including all the accessory parking.
The new store could serve the Patriot Pointe and Hunter's Ridge housing developments plus the Westwood area.
