Alex Tyson has filed for election to the Second District seat on the Geary County Commission. Tyson filed Friday in the County Clerk's Office. "I just feel that our young families around the Geary County area don't really have a voice on the commission, and I would like to be that voice."
Tyson is the Fatherhood Coordinator for Delivering Change and the President of Geared Up Dads. He will run against incumbent Second District Commissioner Charles Stimatze, who has filed for reelection to a second term on the governing body.
The filing deadline is noon on Monday, June 1st.
