Posted Jun 12, 2020 2:22 PM

Effective today ( June 12 , Fort Riley will operate at Health Protection Condition level B, a change from the previous level C. HPCON B measures are less extensive than HPCON C measures, but they do still impose restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, protect the Force and preserve required military readiness.

According to Fort Riley information, the post still requires increased hygiene, social distancing, the wearing of face mask coverings and restriction of movement for travel to or from elevated risk areas.

In coordination with state and local public health officials, Fort Riley leaders have closely monitored the regional downward trend in COVID-like cases and positive tests. Additionally, Fort Riley's hospital and medical treatment facilities continue to have the capacity to treat patients and have a testing program in place for healthcare workers and those showing signs of COVID-19.
