Randy Rundle, 62 of Clay Center, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at his residence. Randy was born on February 6, 1958 at Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Harlan and Martha (Jackson) Rundle. He grew up in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS. Randy was inducted into the Clay Center Tigers Hall of Fame in 2015.
Randy attended Manhattan VoTech and graduated with a degree in printing, later working for Ag. Press and Master Teacher Company.
Randy invented a 6 volt alternator and then went on to invent forty more products for antique cars. In 1985, he started Fifth Avenue Antique Auto Parts in his garage, eventually opening a store in downtown Clay Center in 1993.
He met Denise Durrant in 2008 and the couple married in 2018 after he convinced her to move to Clay Center and call it home. Randy felt strongly about the future and growth of Clay Center and wanted to see it prosper. His final wish was to make old cars more reliable and fun to drive. Randy has left an impact on the antique car community that has been felt around the world.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center
Visitation: 3-8 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center
