
The Greater Geary Community Match Day will be Tuesday, Oct. 21. The event supports 60 nonprofit organizations in Geary County.
There are three ways to donate funds.
--In-Person: 7am - 5:30 pm at the Junction City Municipal Building Auditorium (700 N. Jefferson Street)
--By Mail: Donors may mail checks postmarked and received by October 21, 2025 to:P.O. Box 411, Junction City, KS 6644. You must include a giving form that indicates which organizations you are giving to and the amounts Please include only ONE check made out to GGCF for the total donation amount.
--Online:Made between 12:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. on October 21st here:www.gearymatchday.com
Donations will be accompanied by 50-cents on the dollar up to a maximum of $7,500 per organization. This year $165,000 is availabe in matching funds, up $3,000 from one year ago. Matching funds are being provided by the R2B4 Bramlage Foundation, Hoover-Koken Foundation, Crosby Family Foundation and Central Charities.
According to Greater Geary Community Foundation Chairman Calvin Pottberg in 2024 the public donated $443, 467 dollars with the match money totaling $162,000, bringing the overal total to just over $605,000 to 56 nonprofit organizations.
