Junction City Blue Jay football will open the 2020 season at Bishop Carroll against the Golden Eagles Friday, Sept. 4. JCHS coach Randall Zimmerman confirmed Bishop Carroll will be the opening game opponent for the Blue Jays at 7 p.m. on the 4th.
Junction City was initially scheduled to open the season in the capitol city against the Topeka High Trojans but officials with Topeka public schools have postponed week one games for the teams in USD 501 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Bishop Carroll will be the replacement opponent for Junction City. The Golden Eagles went 8-3 in 2019 while the Blue Jays finished 7-3.
