The Junction City boys basketball team travels this week to Dodge City to play in the 80th annual Tournament of Champions at the United Wireless Arena.
The Blue jays will play Shawnee Mission South on Thursday at 3:30 pm, with the following games Dodge City v. Derby at 7 pm and Maize South v. Bishop Carroll at 8:30 pm.
The tournament will continue through Saturday. Friday the winner between Junction City and Shawnee Mission South will play at 2:30 pm versus the winner of Hutchinson v. Newton. The losing teams will play at 1 pm. The winner between Dodge and Derby will face off against the winner between Maize South and Bishop Carroll at 7:30 pm. The losing teams will play Friday at 6 pm.
Into Saturday the consolation teams will play the first game of the day at 12 pm. The following game at 1:30 pm will be playing for 5th place. The next game will be at 3 pm fighting for 3rd with the championship game immediately after at 5 pm.
