Clara Mae Walls, 85, of Junction City, KS, passed away on January 7, 2021. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with burial arrangements.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday January 15, 2021 at Highland Cemetery, 700 Dogwood St., Wakefield, KS, with Pastor Doug Brown officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post #45, 201 E. 4th St., Junction City, KS 66441.
Clara was born on November 6, 1935, in Leasburg, Missouri, to Beverly Earl and Lennie Marie (Ray) Walls. She ultimately settled in the Junction City, Kansas, area where she worked as a cook for the restaurant business.
She had close ties to the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed attending American Legion events. She also had a great love of BINGO. She could be found any place BINGO was being held. Above all, she cherished her family.
Clara is survived by her loving family: her two brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Earl (Patricia) Walls of Wakefield, KS, and Posey Reldon (Kim) Smith of Tucson, AZ; two sisters Norma Manz of Junction City, KS, and Nellie Kay Thomas of Wichita, KS; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
