Donna Price has worked in tourism for more than 20 years, most recently in the Goodland, Kansas area. It's something the new director of the Geary County Convention & Tourism Bureau enjoys. "I love the industry and everything that we do to get people to come into the community. Geary County and Junction City have so much to offer. It's exciting."
Future plans include reuniting with the American Bus Association, owners and operators of tour buses. And so we hope to start bringing in tour buses again. " There will also be an attempt to attract small meetings to Junction City. "We're going to look at the history and heritage, outdoor adventures, arts, all those things that we can grab onto and get the visitors to stop and spend some time with us."
Price understands the importance of Milford Lake when it comes to a tourism destination as well. "It's huge, it's the largest lake in Kansas. It's where the headwaters are, it's got so many opportunities for us, but along with that we also have the golf courses, the history.
