Signup for Geary County Girls Softball is set for the next two Saturdays, April 10th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the softball field at the County 4-H Center.
Jeff Childs, Geary County Girls Softball Association President, said the cost to play will be $50. "Like everything else it's gone up, it was $45 the last time, equipment, the insurance, we increased by $5 this year.
Girls from 6 to 18 are allowed to play as long those who are 18 are still in high school. There are three different leagues including Coach-Pitch for 6-8 year olds, Dickinson County C and D League for 9 - 12 year olds and A nd B League for 13 - 18 year old players.
Games are played in June and July. COVID-19 mitigation protocols will be followed but players on the field will not have to wear a face mask.
