Manhattan woman accused of DUI after hit-and-run crash

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred just before 1p.m. Wednesday in Riley County.

According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a 2011 Dodge Caliber driven by David Fliter, 27, of Manhattan, was traveling near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Casement Road in Manhattan.

 A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix collided with the Dodge and then left the scene.

Through the investigation, the driver was identified as Kimberly Blasing, 60, of Manhattan. Fliter declined transport to Via Christi Hospital. Blasing was arrested at approximately 1:54 p.m. in the 400 block of Walters Drive on requested charges of aggravated battery, driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and duty of driver to give information. Blasing is being held on a bond of $8,000.
