Junction City Commissioners have adopted a proposed 2022 budget for publication that does not include an increase in the property tax levy. The mill levy will be at 48.346 mills.  There will be a public hearing on the spending plan Sept. 7th.

Commissioners gave ordinance approval for a change in hours for retail liquor sales on Sunday. Instead of beginning at noon they can now begin at 9 a.m.

The governing body approved a bid totaling $58,000 for a new 50 x 70 foot pavilion at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Final approval is pending approval of additional funds from the Friends of Rolling Meadows Golf Course for the project.   Construction would begin in October.
