Around 6:15 pm Saturday evening, Riley County Police officers responded to the report of a crash near the intersection of North Seth Child Road and Top of the World.
When they arrived on the scene, officers found a 2006 GMC Canyon, driven by 64-year-old Robert Jandera, of Houston, TX, had crossed over the center line while traveling north on Seth Child Road.
Twenty-year-old Brenda Flores, of Junction City, who was traveling southbound on Seth Child Road in a 2009 Toyota Camry, had to swerve into the northbound lane to attempt to avoid the GMC Canyon.
The GMC Canyon the reentered the northbound lane, colliding with the Camry, before coming to a stop.
Riley County EMS treated Flores for minor injuries at the scene and was released.
Jandera was transported by Riley County EMS to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for treatment of injuries before being arrested by the Riley County Police Department for DUI and aggravated battery.
Jandera was issued a total bond of $6,000 and has bonded out from the Riley County Jail.
