Richard D. Lewis, age 57, of Topeka, died September 22, 2023, at Stormont-Vail Health in Topeka.

He was born September 28, 1965, in Manhattan, the son of Donald Luther and Della Mae (Davis) Lewis.

Richard graduated from Manhattan High School and then earned his Associate Degree from Beloit Vo-Tech in diesel mechanics.

He worked for Injection and Turbo as a diesel injection repair technician.

Richard was a gamer, built his own computers, was a member of an online band, enjoyed reading westerns and spy novels, and watched car shows on TV.

Survivors include his sister-in-law Shirley Lewis of Wamego, KS, and his nephew John Lewis and his wife Krystal of Coldwater, KS.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Russell Lewis, Allen Lewis and Sally Lewis.

Cremation is planned with graveside services to be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 13th at the Riley Cemetery, Riley, Kansas.

The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502, is assisting with arrangements.
