4-H scholarship recipients are in the spotlight

Four outstanding Geary County 4-H members have been selected to receive scholarships through the Geary County 4-H program.  Extension Agent Ginger Kopfer said that the recipients were selected based on involvement in the 4-H program and outstanding leadership and citizenship shown to 4-H, school, and the community.

--Chelsey Armbruster, Lyon Creek 4-H Club, daughter of Marjaul Ferris

$1,000 Ray and Nellie Smith 4-H Scholarship

--Kacey Butler, Lyon Creek 4-H Club, daughter of David and Karla Butler

$1,000 Flint Hills Preservation Coalition Scholarship

$2,000 Ralph E. Dietrich College Scholarship

--Jada Nabus, Humboldt 4-H Club, daughter of Randy and Lisa Nabus

$1,000 Ray and Nellie Smith 4-H Scholarship

--Jewels Williams, Lyon Creek 4-H Club, daughter of Marti Williams

$1,000 Paul B. and Clara B. Gwin 4-H Scholarship
