Junction City finished fourth out of 26 wrestling teams at the Hays Invitational. Zeke Witt captured first place in the 106 pound weight class. Patrick Foxworth finished third at 138 pounds and Logan Nabus third at 170.
Cooper Bogenhagen was fifth at 182 pounds, Nathan Agudzi-Addo fifth at 195 and Kaden Blake fifth at 132 pounds.
Junction City went 0-5 in a duals competition in Emporia. Junction City had a mixed depth chart lineup for that tournament, with losses to Emporia, Wichita West, Derby, Bishop Carroll and Dodge City.
In girls wrestling this past weekend Junction City finished seventh out of 19 teams. Jaden Alvarado finished second at 101 pounds, while Charly Goodwin at 120, Naomi Tanaka at 143 and Megan Franks at 126 all captured fourth place.
Also, the Lady Jays competed in Eureka, finishing tenth out of 21 teams. Kennedy Turner was first at 235 pounds, Charly Goodwin second at 120, Ariana Remy Yee fourth at 101 and Aislyan Bailey fifth at 138 pounds.
