MANHATTAN—Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged identity theft in Manhattan.
Just after 10:30a.m. Friday, police filed a report for theft in the 2900 block of Stagg Hill Road in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 76-year-old man reported a 35-year-old male suspect and a 70-year-old female suspect wrote unauthorized checks with the his information to make purchases in Manhattan, Topeka and Lawrence.
The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,609.
